May 22nd – June 27th 2009 Join us for two of the private detective, Bolt’s ‘most famous cases’: MARKED FOR LOVE and OF DICKS AND DAMES. These two one-act Film Noir parody plays comprise “Nights of Noir”, a light-hearted romp into the mysterious, murky and extremely silly underbelly of the 1940’s Los Angeles crime scene. Written and directed by award-winning playwright Kasey Wilson, ‘Nights of Noir’ was produced by EVN Productions and Old Timey Productions in association with The Attic Theatre & Film Center. Great, a troubled young magician, is running from his past, the beautiful assistant that betrayed him, and the trick that tore them apart. He soon befriends Trilby, a waitress with a passion for magic, and initiates her into his haunted world: a place where cards change color, coins disappear, objects float and love is the biggest illusion of all.
